A handstand press is a controlled movement where you lift your body from the ground into a handstand using arm and shoulder strength, without jumping.
This workshop with Movement Specialist and Handstand Guru Vincent Vis, founder of the Handstand Academy is dedicated to both beginners and more experienced inversion practitioners who want to understand how the press truly works and how to train it without guessing.
Sun 19 April

During this session, we will map out the exact roadmap that leads to a clean and controlled float off the mat. Instead of chasing random drills, you will learn the specific prerequisites that make the press possible.
We will explore:
• The key static shapes that must be developed before a press becomes realistic
• The three phases of the floating process
• The common mistakes that slow down progress for most practitioners
• The three forms of strength required to make the press possible
While the press handstand does not appear in a single afternoon, this workshop will give you a clear training map. By the end, you will know exactly where you stand in the process and what to train next to move closer to this goal.
Whether you are building your first float off the mat or refining an existing press, this workshop will give you the framework to train with clarity and purpose.
You must sign-in to book a spot in this class.
