Welcome in the New Cycle of Spring
Spring marks the beginning of the energetic cycle in Traditional Chinese Medicine—a time when Wood energy rises, movement returns, and new intentions take root.
This AcuYoga immersion to help you align with the Wood element, clear stagnation and consciously step into a new cycle of growth, vision and renewal that Spring invites.
Yoga and Acupuncture work together to guide the smooth flow of Qi throughout the body and mind, restoring balance between Yin and Yang and supporting overall vitality.

In Five Elements Wisdom, Wood represents initiation and direction. Just as nature begins to stretch upward after Winter, Wood energy governs our ability to move forward, make decisions and take action.
Physically, Wood relates to:
The Liver and Gallbladder meridians
Tendons, ligaments and connective tissues
The nervous system
Spring is a time when we may experience stiffness, tension, irritability or fatigue—all signs of Wood energy seeking movement and balance.
Emotionally, Wood is associated with anger and frustration.
When harmonised, it transforms into clarity, assertiveness, creativity and vision.
Those with strong Wood personalities are natural leaders and forward-thinkers—adaptable, resilient and able to bend without breaking.
This 2.5-hour seasonal immersion, jointly hosted by Acupuncturist Lucia O’Byrne and Mandala Yoga senior teacher Susan Nà D, offers a deeply supportive space to reset your system, release winter stagnation and consciously enter Spring.
An accessible introduction to Five Element Cycle Wisdom
A focused exploration of the Wood Element and seasonal imbalances
Insight into the Wood personality and how it shows up in daily life
Grounding Meditation & Yoga to nourish and open the Wood meridians
Essential oils chosen to support flow, clarity and renewal
A targetted acupuncture experience to support Liver & Gallbladder Qi
This is an opportunity to realign with the natural rhythm of the season, set the tone for the months ahead, and move into Spring feeling clear, grounded and energised.

Yin Yoga has its roots in the ancient Chinese philosophy of Daoism. At the heart of Daoism is the belief in the need for balance between the twin forces of Yin and Yang that we see everywhere: Darkness and Light; Cold and Hot; Inaction and Action. Yin and Yang complement one another to achieve a state of harmony.
In Yin Yoga by holding poses for longer periods of time (2-3 minutes) we are therapeutically ‘stressing’’ and applying pressure to the energy pathways. This stimulates the flow of vital energy (Qi) into bones, nerves, muscles and connective tissue where so much deep tension accumulates.
Yin yoga is deeply calming and meditative. It soothes the nervous system flipping it back into ‘rest and digest’ mode.
What is Acupuncture?
Acupuncture is a technique for balancing the flow of energy or life force by inserting tiny needles into specific points along the body. Acupuncture is most commonly used to treat pain and disorders but increasingly, it is being used as regular practice for boosting overall wellness and stress management.
